![]() If I buy an outfit off there, does it suddenly not become glamourable? The same goes with the mounts. It's the point of stuff being purchased off the mogstation suddenly being useless. It makes sense though.Įxisting items getting upgraded is more the exception than the norm. ![]() Cause well, why upgrade one someone already paid for when could release a new one that they would just buy to replace the old one? Capitalism! yay. It seems in better interest for them to just keep adding newer mounts. After all, as I'm writing this, I notice they added a new flying bird to mogstation for us to buy. I really doubt its a top priority for them at the moment though. That said, slepnir is still for sale so who knows, you might get it flying someday. ![]() Most ground mounts can't fly and there are no plans to upgrade all of them (it would be a bit silly for EVERYTHING to fly). It's not like they made all of the ground mounts fly. Sure it's just a fancy frills thing but it is a land mount, it was sold as a land mount, etc.īy all rights they could just sell new flying mounts from now on. I'm fairly sure that anything sold on the mogstation has the same kind of expiration date that any content has in this game as far as relevancy. Maybe some sort of quest having the player helping Sleipnir gain access to its full potential would be a good way to prove he can fly. If it did have the ability to fly from the get-go it should have been in-game or shown since release. For Yoshi to just have him fly just because he can without any sort of source energy/power enabling him to fly would just seem odd. Now looking at FFXIV ARR as a whole, there is no evidence or hints of Sleipnir being able to fly to my knowledge. This particular Sleipnir doesn’t have any sort of aura. Now look at all the primal mounts and Sleipnir in FFXIV ARR. ![]() I’m not sure if it’s explained what exactly that purple mist is, but I am confident that it is the source or imagery of its power enabling it to fly in that game. It is very similar to the Sleipnir as seen in FFIX (The idea probably being borrowed from FFIX.) For example, look at all the primal mounts currently within the game.ĭo you notice how each one has some sort of aura coming from their legs. However, the thought of him flying in HW is an odd one, as it just wouldn’t make sense lore wise. It would be nice to have, but not necessary. I am neither approving nor disproving of Sleipnir gaining the ability to fly in HW. Okay, let me explain my chain of thought here. They're all a bunch of filthy Burmecians, scurrying in fear with their tails between their legs. Now I realize what is going on with people not wanting Sleipnir to fly. ![]()
